Overview
Wawona Campground is located one mile north of Wawona along Highway 41 in Yosemite National Park's southern section.
The Wawona section of the legendary Yosemite National Park is home to the historic Wawona Hotel and features a history museum, hiking trails, and access to the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias.
There are 97 campsites in Wawona Campground, as well as a Group Camp and a Horse Camp. Forty-seven of the campsites are just for tents, while four are only for RVs or trailers.
The remaining 43 campsites are available for RVs, trailers, and tents. There are no hookups although the sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 35 feet long. There are also no showers, but they are available at Curry Village or Housekeeping Camp.
There is a nearby dump station that is accessible during the summer. Every campsite has a picnic table, a fire ring, and a food locker.
A few sites located on the C Loop are ADA-accessible. Pets are allowed except in group and horse campsites and they must be kept on a leash at all times.
Wawona is open year round but in winter, only loop A and B are open.

Reservations Required?
Reservations are required for camping dates from mid-April until mid-October. At other times, campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis.The fee at Wawona Campground is $36 per night, $50 per night for group campsite and $30 for horse campsite. Reservations are required from early to mid-April through early to mid-October.
Loops A and B are available on a first-come, first-served basis for the remainder of the year. In the winter, Loop C is closed.
During the winter, Horse Camp is closed. Furthermore, group sites are only available by reservation. Campground bookings are available in blocks of one month at a time, up to five months in advance, on the 15th of each month at 7 am Pacific time. Reservations can be made online at Recreation.gov or over the phone at 1-877-444-6777.
Group Camping Reservations
The Group campsite is open all year. Wawona Group Camp features a single site in Loop A that can accommodate 13 to 30 persons. The site allows for a maximum of 5 vehicles to park.
The group site does not allow trailers or pets. The Group Campsite costs $50 per night. Reservations for the Wawona Group campground are available online at Recreation.gov or by phone at 1-877-444-6777.
Campsite Reservation Cancellations
Individual or equestrian site reservations that are canceled will be charged a $10 service fee. If you cancel within 48 hours of your arrival date, you will be charged for the first night. Cancellations made within 48 hours of a single night's use will not be refunded, but will not incur an additional service charge.
No-shows will be charged a $20 service fee as well as the first night's price for any type of reservation. Reservations can be canceled or changed online at Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.

Summerdale Campground
Summerdale Campground, with 29 campsites, is a smaller campground than Wawona Campground, which has 97 campsites. Summerdale Campground does not have a group campsite, and Wawona Campground does.
Summerdale Campground has a maximum RV length of 25 feet, whereas Wawona Campground has a maximum RV length of 35 feet. Both campgrounds do not have hookups.

Soquel Campground has a maximum RV length of 20 feet, whereas Wawona Campground has a maximum RV length of 35 feet. There are no hookups available at either campground. Wawona Campground offers tap water, whereas Soquel Campground does not.
