FAQs
Nearby Campgrounds to Table Mountain (Angeles)
With no hookups available and a forest setting, Table Mountain Campground has fewer amenities and a different environment compared to many other campgrounds throughout the state. Since many campsites can accommodate larger RVs over 40 feet, this campground makes an excellent option for campers who are unable to fit into campgrounds with stricter length restrictions. Furthermore, at a price point of only $25 per night for single sites and $100 per night for the group camp, Table Mountain is far more affordable if guests are willing to forego amenities like hookups. The nearby North Lodge provides many comforts and luxuries to make a stay at Table Mountain more comfortable despite limited in-campground facilities.
South Carlsbad State Beach
South Carlsbad State Beach features over 200 sites of varying types. A small quantity of sites have full or double hookups, while others are primitive sites for tent or RV camping. ADA-accessible sites are also available.
The campground has a paid dump station that costs $10 per use. Oceanfront and inland sites are $50 and $35, respectively, with the option to upgrade to hookups for an additional $25 per night. Between the bluffs and the beach, South Carlsbad has a much different setting compared to the forests of Table Mountain.
Carpinteria State Beach
Carpinteria State Beach features almost 200 individual campsites with hookups and seven group sites that can accommodate 25–40 people. At a rate of $45 without hookups, $70 with hookups, and $180 for group sites, the fees are significantly more than at Table Mountain. The beach setting and tide pools further distinguish Carpinteria from Angeles National Forest.
Dogwood Campground
Dogwood Campground has dozens of sites divided into four categories: tent-only ($37), double ($73), single without hookups ($37), and single with electric hookups ($47). Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring. Flush toilets and showers are on site. There is no group site, so campers in groups of over 16 people will need to reserve group sites at other locations like Table Mountain.
Serrano Campground
Serrano Campground has over 100 mixed-use sites that can accommodate RVs of up to 40 feet. Serrano provides a similar forest setting to Table Mountain with the option for additional amenities and upgrades. Approximately 27 sites have electric and water hookups, and there is an on-site dump station within the campground. However, no group sites or double sites are offered at Serrano, so groups traveling with over 8 guests will need to make separate reservations to stay at this campground.
