Rolling M. Ranch Campground (Chino Hills SP)
Chino Hills, CA 91709, United States
Overview
Rolling M Ranch Campground is a relatively small, primitive campground tucked away on the eastern side of Chino Hills State Park that gives easy access to the park's hiking, bicycling, and equestrian trails.
The campsite comprises 20 sites, some of which have pull-through parking for medium-sized RVs up to 30 feet, as well as a reservable group camp with numerous horse pens which are located at the end of the park's eastern entry road. Note that the group site only has vault toilets.
The main campground is accessible by a short-loop road and is equipped with a central restroom facility with flush toilets and free showers. Each campsite features a picnic table, a food rack, a grill, and a fire pit. However, no campfires, ground fires, or charcoal fires are allowed but you can use a gas stove.
Water spigots, trash cans, and coal bins are located throughout the loop. This campground is relatively exposed to wind and the elements and while most sites have at least a tree to give some shade, there are a handful that do not.
Each site offers paved parking for two cars or recreational vehicles up to 30 feet in length, and there are two ADA sites. There are no hook-ups or dump stations, and each campsite has a picnic table and a lantern post.
Rolling Ranch Campground is open year-round but is subject to occasional closures, so call in advance to check. Note that at the time of print, cellular service is non-existent and spotty at best, so be sure to plan for that.
