Oceano Dunes SVRA Campground
100 Pier Ave, Oceano, CA 93445, United States
Overview
Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) is located off Cabrillo Highway by Pismo State Beach. Although camping is permitted, there aren’t any designated campsites. Guests can set up their own primitive sites anywhere on the dunes. There are no hookups or facilities of any kind with the exception of chemical and vault toilets. A dump station is close to the entrance. Group camps can form on their own since there are no clearly defined sites, but no group passes are sold. This SVRA has a maximum capacity of 500 overnight guests, and the exact number sold per day will vary based on the capabilities of the park. RV parking is risky due to the condition of the soil and the potential to get stuck. Dogs are allowed in Oceano Dunes SVRA as long as they’re kept on a leash.
