Overview
Lake Perris, an artificial lake completed in 1973, is home to an amazing variety of birds, marine life, and wildlife. First looking barren and rocky, Lake Perris has a flourishing plant community as well as abundant wildlife such as deer, bobcats, coyotes, snakes, rabbits, quail, and rattlesnakes.
Lake Perris’ campground, also known as Luiseno Campground, is a massive campground with 431 developed sites divided into several loops for either tent camping or for RVs and trailers. Quail loops, Road Runner, and Bobcat have a combined 177 tent sites while Coyote and Deer loops have 254 RV sites with full hookups.
In addition to the developed sites, Lake Perris also has primitive equestrian sites and six group sites.
This campground is open year-round, with its popular season being from June 1st to 30th November.
Pets are allowed in the campground if they are kept on a leash and always attended to, but they are not allowed on unpaved trails or the beach. You can take them on a boat, but they should not have physical contact with the water.
