Overview
Gull Lake Campground is located in the June Lake area just west of Highway 395 between Lee Vining and Bishop/Mammoth Lakes. Nestled in the south end of Gull Lake, the campground has 11 campsites for tents, and RV and trailers up to 30 feet for some sites and 25 feet for others. It's a small and well-shaded area where campers have access to lakes with fishing and boating opportunities as well as beautiful scenic views. There are no showers, dump stations, or hookups, but the small town of June Lake is located about a mile away with many of the facilities that you might need. Gull Lake Campground opens in late April to late October depending on weather, similar to the fishing season. Some additional perks of this specific campground are a boat ramp, swimming beach, and a playground for the little kids to keep occupied. Note that Gull Lake is strictly first-come, first-served and they don’t take reservations. Pets are allowed as long as they are kept on a leash and are always attended to. Only two pets are allowed each site. This campground is located right smack in the middle of bear country so be sure to use the bear-proof lockers conscientiously to keep your food inaccessible to wildlife.

NoAll campsites at Gull Lake are first come, first served. They do not accept bookings, and the maximum vehicle length is 30 feet.
The sites cost $28 per night, and you may stay up to 14 days maximum on a single visit. If your stay includes a Friday or Saturday night, then you must look for at least two nights. Additionally, if your stay includes a Friday or Saturday night of a holiday weekend, then you must have at least three nights booked.

Group Camping Reservations
There are no group camping sites in Gull Lake. However, each site allows 6 people and two vehicles, so you can book multiple adjacent sites.
Campsite Reservation Cancellations
You may cancel your reservation at any time before the date of your scheduled arrival. You will receive a refund for your stay, minus the following fees:
- $10 cancellation fee
- Any reservation fees if they were paid when booking
- Any previous change fees Some late cancellation penalties may also apply. For individual campsites, the late cancellation applies from midnight 1 calendar day before your scheduled check-in. In addition, late cancellation will also be deducted from your first night's use fee from any refund owed.

Nearby Campgrounds to Gull Lake Campground
Reversed Creek Campground
Reversed Creek is just across the road from Gull Creek and both campgrounds offer campers similar fishing and boating opportunities at the same price - $28. They are both similar in size as Reversed Creek has 17 sites and Gull Lake has 11.
While Gull Lake has sites right on the shoreline of the lake, Reversed Creek is nestled within a lush forest surrounded by aspen trees.
While Gull Lake has limited space and cannot accommodate vehicles more than 30 feet, Reversed Creek has several pull-throughs that allow for vehicles up to 45 feet. They both allow a 2nd vehicle per site but while Gull Lake charges $5, Reversed Creek charges $7.
Both campgrounds have no showers, hookups, dump stations, or designated ADA sites. Reversed Creek allows reservations from mid-May to mid-October, while other times are first-come, first-served, but Gull Creek is always first-come, first-served.
June Lake Campground
June Lake is a slightly larger campground with 28 sites compared to Gull Lake’s 11, and they both cost $28 a night. Both campgrounds offer similar activities like hiking the nearby trails, boating, and swimming. June Lake is located way closer to the town where there are many other facilities such as grocery stores, restaurants, and cafes.
Both campgrounds have no hookups or showers, and while June Lake can take vehicles up to 32 feet, Gull Lake can allow for only 30 feet on some sites, but 25 feet in the majority of them.
Reservations are allowed for June Lake campground whenever it is open, but Gull Lake is strictly first-come, first served. They both allow pets but do not have any designated ADA sites.
Oh Ridge Campground
Oh Ridge is a way bigger campground with over 140 sites compared to only 11 at Gull Creek. A favorite for families and anglers, it costs $33 a night for Oh Ridge compared to $28 for Gull Lake. Both campgrounds are open from mid-April to October, weather depending. Oh Ridge has larger roads and sites and can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 40 feet, while Gull Lake can only accommodate 30 feet in selected sites and 25 feet in the rest. Reservations are permitted at Oh Ridge when the campground is open while Gull Lake is first-come, first-served.
Silver Lake Campground
This 68-site campground is located in the forests between Silver Lake and the dramatic scenery of the Ansel Adams Wildness in the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, while Gull Lake is at the shoreline with many sites having lake views. Both campgrounds have no hookups and charge $28 a night. Silver Lake has two double sites that cost $56 each and can accommodate 12 people, while Gull Lake only has single sites that allow for a maximum of six people.
Obsidian Flat Campground
Obsidian Flat Group Campground only has a single group site that can accommodate 50 people, 15 cars, or 5 RVs up to 40 feet in length while Gull Lake has 11 single sites but doesn’t have any group camping facilities.
However, Obsidian Flat is pretty primitive with only vault toilets and no drinking water while Gull Lake has flush toilets and potable water. The fee for Obsidian Flat is $20 per night while that for Gull Lake is $28.
