FAQs
Nearby Campgrounds to Agate Campground
Agate Campground is an excellent compromise for guests who want some amenities at an affordable price. Although Agate doesn’t have hookups, it does offer water, restrooms with showers, and a nearby dump station to make longer stays possible. There are also cabins with electric heaters and a large tent-only group site with limited running water for people who prefer a more unique camping experience.
Furthermore, at $35 for a standard site and $300 for the group site, Agate is highly affordable compared to many other campgrounds with similar amenities.
Penn Creek Campground
Penn Creek is located in the same park as Agate Campground. It’s a small tent-only campground with 15 sites. Reservations are only accepted from May through September. Amenities are mostly comparable to Agate, but there are no ADA-accessible campsites or cabins. The bathrooms, however, are accessible.
Abalone Campground
Abalone Campground is the third main campground in Sue-meg State Park. It has 70 sites that can fit tents and RVs and 7 that are reserved for tents, but there are no cabins like those offered at Agate. This campground has accessible sites and bathrooms for disabled guests. Amenities are similar, but the park’s dump station is located next to Abalone, which adds convenience for guests who prefer not to drive farther to use the dump station.
